Amélie puts on her summer dress

It has been a busy spring for the Amélie association, which not only manages the socialisation centre based in Via Industria in Pregassona, but has also prepared the second edition of Cult Amélie, the summer festival of urban culture that takes place from the end of May to the end of August. The programme, indicated on the posters circulating in the neighbourhood, proposes some thirty events: exercises for the body and mind, concerts, shows of various kinds, meetings, games, sporting activities... These are free initiatives set in the Via Industria playground and in the spaces adjacent to the Amélie house. The second edition of the festival crosses into the Mendrisiotto area with three events organised in collaboration with 11 Mendrisio Municipality.

The association joined the Neighbourhood Festival, organised by the City of Lugano on Friday 26 May, and on Saturday 3 June it will once again organise a neighbourhood party involving the committee and local associations.

On Sunday 11 June, the imminent closing of schools will be preceded by the Olympics, competitions and games reserved for members of the Youth Space.
